Utilising the permitted development rights on the existing agricultural building, the scheme utilises the existing volume of the cow shed to create two large, open-plan dwellings. Yorkshire boarding to the first floor softened the appearance of the barn, whilst stone cladding at ground floor ensured a farmhouse, residential aesthetic. The form of the barn allowed for dramatic double height spaces, sheltered balcony and veranda areas.
